We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Wedding Hive’s “An Enchanted Wedding” bridal show last Thursday evening. The turnout was tremendous! It was very nice meeting everybody we talked to, from brides and couples to other wedding vendors. The Hive did an amazing job setting everything up. It’s just how a bridal show should be done, if creative minds are allowed the freedom to explore all the possibilities.
I have to say, this group of creative professionals really excites me at where weddings in Kansas City could be heading in the future. If the Hive flourishes, KC is going to have some of the most beautiful weddings you’ve ever seen.
I was mostly mingling, but I did manage to get a few pictures.

Wednesday night’s storm was incredible. Very cold, but very pretty. What better time to go outside for portraits? I absolutely love shooting in interesting weather. I think the wind chill was well below zero, but Jenna and I were having way too much fun to go indoors.

It was coming down pretty heavy

The Nelson, photographed in warmer days, in all its glory. It’s a favorite location among clients for portraits of all kinds. Isn’t this place amazing?

One of my very favorite things. When my parents decided to open a bookstore, we all went through barista training at the Roasterie. It’s a lot harder than it looks to make a great latte. But, the process is fun and you learn a lot! It’s the perfect mix of chemistry and artistry.

Pull that shot! Nom nom:

The result?

Terrence and I went downtown for some new portfolio shots. He’s modeled for Claiborne and other well-know firms, so he’s a natural at posing! We were in the West Bottoms at sunset, one of my favorite places for portraits.

Love the attitude!
