While en route to K&B’s one-of-a-kind wedding location, I practically had to wipe drool from my chin after spotting the field nearby.

Ceremony & Reception Venue: Monticello Auction Center

We started at K&B’s new house first for some finishing touches.

It had been raining all week long! Then Saturday arrived… The clouds remained very dramatic while allowing some warm golden light through, as if Mother Nature knew how important the day was. That was only the start of this beautiful wedding at The National.

Venue & Catering: The National

Loose Park is a wonderful place for portraits.  The trick is to schedule the session at an “off” time, because when there are literally 20+ photographers and their clients at the park at one time it gets a little crazy.  Good thing we had that in mind; on this Sunday morning Julie, Brian and I had the park to ourselves!  It was a beautiful late fall day and the air was crisp.  During the session, the subject of neighborhoods came up and we discovered that we live less than a mile from each other.  :-)   Small world. Looking forward to your wedding this year!

Aren’t you cute?
(side note, these two are so much fun with a great sense of humor -
can’t wait to giggle with you on your wedding day!)

We spotted this guy and had to give him props for cheeking however many walnuts are in there!

The Nelson has been the hands-down most popular place lately for portraits.  Here in Kansas City we take great pride in our wonderful art museums, rich historical buildings, and urban-yet-cozy atmosphere.

It’s always fun to go in and look at the art peices at the museum, but have you ever truly explored the outside?  I had a blast with M&B and their baby J.  Thanks for a fun autumn evening!

Playing cars with mom & dad.  Pure childhood joy… and fun for the grownups too!  :-)
